Our History

Diamond6 was started to accommodate the growing demand for leadership development workshops focused on educators and education business officials as well as leaders in the non-profit organizations and corporations.

Since 2004, Jeffrey McCausland, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, has worked closely with educators and business leaders to develop their leadership skills. Through his and his teams facilitation Diamond6 has assisted participants in creating workable plans and practices to implement into their own organization. With these plans participants leave his workshops with new vision and insight to effectively and confidently manage conflict, uncertainty and change within their organization.

“I’ve learned that we need effective and strategic leaders now more than ever—particularly in the area of education. Without strong leaders in schools we are leaving future generation to find their way in the dark.”
– Jeff McCausland

Initially, his leadership workshops were conducted through Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA as part of the Benjamin Rush Leadership in Conflict Initiative, a department of the school led by Dr. McCausland. The popularity of the workshops grew quickly and upon the urging of family, friends, colleagues and many past participants Dr. McCausland decided to establish Diamond6 Leadership and Strategy, LLC in September, 2010.

Our custom designed workshops and personal approach has created a loyal following. Most of our clients have returned year after year to bring new groups from their organization or to build on their previous experience. No matter if it’s a one hour seminar or a multi-day workshop participant comments include, “extraordinary, memorable, inspirational, and life-changing.”

The Diamond6 Leadership main office is located in Carlisle, PA with staff and faculty all over the country. Dr. McCausland and his team travel also travel to clients to consult with them one-on-one on an as needed basis. At Diamond6 we know how important it is to remain in close contact with our clients to be of assistance in overcoming hurdles, road blocks and conflicts as they arise. This also ensures that lessons learned are implemented properly and are effective for the organization and it’s stakeholders.

The meaning of Diamond6

The name Diamond6 comes from Jeff McCausland’s radio call sign during the first Gulf War. As commander of the 3rd battalion, 17th Field Artillery, a unit of the 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment, McCausland led some 750 soldiers into Iraq in the spearhead of the VII Corps attack. McCausland believes that leading soldiers in combat was the most extraordinary and truly unforgettable leadership experience he has ever had (and probably every will have) and he named the business as a way to connect back to that experience and to inform and inspire his current work with his clients and Diamond6 Leadership and Strategy.
